Genevieve leads a life as a shy and neurotic book editor, avoiding colleagues and trying to become the next ghostwriter for her publisher’s most popular crime novel series. But no one, not even her therapist, knows that Genevieve is secretly battling dissociative identity disorder (DID). Although her life at home and in public is a constant struggle to avoid any stress that might trigger her dissociations, the show and its casual impersonation of DID begins to bother Genevieve as she is flooded with flashes of memories she never had a hand in creating. Unnerved by how dangerous she and her alter ego “Stevie” may be, she uncovers clues to the horrors she may have been a part of. Getting dangerously close to the mysteries of her past, Genevieve falls into terrifying hallucinations as she gets closer to her origin, her trauma, and the answer to the question she was always afraid to ask: What happened to Genevieve?
